We arrived in Portland August 10 and stayed at the Vintage Plaza Hotel in downtown Portland.

We started the day by visiting Tom Tripp, Tom's cousin at Paine Webber. This is the view of Portland from the lobby.

We had lunch at Caprial's Bistro, owned by the host of Caprial's Cafe, where we enjoyed a wonderful meal.

We spent a few hours with Tom's aunt and uncle, Flossie and Charlie Tripp.
