Cruising

On a Saturday in February Tom and Patty received a letter from the President of AAA Oregon/Idaho with and invitation to sail to Mexico on the "President's Cruise." Now, neither had been to Mexico and it was never discussed as a vacation destination. But a visit to the Holland America website, learning about the ports of call and the MS Zaandam changed their minds, so on a Monday in February they went to the Clackamas AAA office and booked one of the last verandah cabins.

On October 22, 2006, Patty and Tom set sail from San Diego, on the Holland America MS Zaandam for a cruise of the Mexico Riviera and Sea of Cortez.
