West Linn to Phoenix and back

West Linn to Phoenix and backroadtripsm.jpg Patty's mom's new dog was too small and young to travel in December, so a visit to Phoenix to meet her was in order. After so many trips without the dogs, it was decided to bring them along, which meant a road trip.

The trip took us through John Day, OR, stopping for the first night in Twin Falls, ID. The second day we traveled through 4 states - ID, UT, AZ - to the night's destination of Overton, NV. The third travel day we saw the Hoover Dam and had an unplanned stop on AZ highway 93, while lines were being painted on the road. The dogs love that!

On our return, we drove two long days, taking 99 north instead of 5 and stopping for the night in Modesto.
