It promised to be a nice day. The sun was shining and the train trip to Long Island and the ferry to Fire Island went without a hitch. Evelyn recently joined the Adirondack Mountain Club and this was her first outing. The plan was to sit on the beach, talk, read, and enjoy the sunshine. But the wind came up and the clouds rolled in. Instead, Evelyn grimaces at the cold wind.

We took a walk around the Atlantique marina. Nick Cotumaccio offered to take our picture on his boat. That's him behind the camera. And Patty's more occupied with the dog than looking at the camera (of course!).
