Mark Shelton, a good friend from Patty's high school days is a member of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). Most years, since joining, he has attended a Summer Encampment, a camp for kids interested in the CAP. On his way down to San Luis Obispo, Mark spent a couple of days with us.

It took two years, but we finally got Patty's mom back out for a visit. It was a good respite from the heat of Sun City West, AZ. The visit wouldn't be complete without Annie.

We invited the Jones family — Anthony, Jeannie,and Sarah — over for dinner to meet Patty's mom and Annie. Sarah enjoyed being kissed by Annie, who was very curious about the small person.
