At Thomas Jefferson High School, Patty hadthe privilege to sing in the Choir and McGregor's Beggars, directed by John McGregor. In July 1998, a reunion of Mr. Mac's singing groups was organized to benefit Good Shepherd Home. That was the excuse Patty needed to take a trip back.

	Patty met Steve McKee when he returned to Colorado State University after an enlistment in the Navy. Their friendship has stood the test of time. Now living near Colorado Springs, Steve and his friend, Jeff drove up to Denver to take Patty out to dinner.
