How we spent our 1996 summer vacation...
on the Big Island of Hawaii
We walked around an active volcano, swam with the fishes, ate dinners by sunset,
and generally stimulated the Island economy.
In 1982, on our first trip to Hawaii, we spent a week on the Big Island and stayed at the Hyatt Waikaloa Village on the Kohala Coast. We liked the island and the resort so much, we went back this May. Now it's the Hilton Waikaloa Village. Our ocean side room also had a view of the Dolphin Lagoon, where nine dolphins live and work in a program to educate guests about dolphins.
Can you see our room in the Lagoon Towers? This was taken from the opposite side of the property.
