Charity Knitting

Though Patty is not prolific or dedicated enough to knit for charities, she admiresthose who do, and contributes in other ways. That's how she "met" Barbara. Barbara knits only for charities — many in New York, where she lives, but often to national and international groups. She posted a message on a KnitList requesting yarn donations. It was a great opportunity for yarn stash reduction, while knowing the yarn would be put to good use. Here are some examples of Barbara's good work.

The baby sweater was a donation to the North Westchester Battered Women and Children's Shelter

This is one of many blankets that went to Project Linus.

Many orhans in China are warmer thanks to Barbara and the hats and mittens she made.

Contact Barbara if you have some washable fiber yarns you'd like to donated for her charity efforts.
