It started in junior high school with a square pillow with tassels in seventh grade Home Economics. In high school, Patty made costumes singing for McGregor's Beggars at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver. For her college graduation, Patty's parents gave her first Singer sewing machine. The Sewing Place is an online source of patterns and notions. Kenneth King is a couture designer, who taugh classes at The Sewing Place when there was a storefront. Now he shares his knowledge through CD courses available from his site. SewNet is an interactive site dedicated to sewing enthusiasts and professionals. On-Line Fabric Store Directory Carol Anne T. Wall has compiled a list of fabric stores in North America. Quiltropolis Home Page sponsor a number of very active sewing mailing lists. Lily Abello's Sewing Resource Guide provides an exciting place to start exploring sewing-related web sites on the Internet. Tom's Textile Resources is an interesting combination of sewing, quilting, and knitting resources — including links to other sites. Keepsake Quilting is a quilting catalog that will appeal to quilters and sewers with their fabric, patterns and customer service. Hancock's of Paducah is another great quilting catalog that will appeal to sewers with their incredible selection of fabrics.
