When Patty rediscovered knitting and sewing, she also discovered Threads magazine. Published by Taunton Press, Threads began as a high-quality magazine dedicated to fiberarts, including sewing, knitting, quilting and more, that has evolved into one of the better sewing magazines available. The quality of the magazine makes it collectible. Around 1998, Patty completed her collection. It was quite a feat at the time.

Keeping track of the information is a challenge, and Taunton Press didn't have much of a website at the time. So Patty created a FileMaker Pro database with information from the Tables of content. It's five years later and the Threads Magazine site now has a search engine for their articles. Combine that with having a real job and not time to update the database, it has officially been retired from publication.
